FAQ+A

PubMed Access

I was wondering what I need to do in order to access full articles via PubMed through the library website. Do I need some kind of login to access full articles?

Answer

Great question! Whether you are on-campus or off-campus we recommend that users access PubMed via the link that we provide on the library homepage (restricted access; HutchNetID & password needed to access CenterNet)--you'll find the PubMed (with Full Text @ Fred Hutch) link on the right hand side of the screen, under Related Pages. You could bookmark that link; it gives you a portal view of PubMed that should include links to any of the full text that the Arnold Library subscribes to.

If you are off-campus and not connected to the Fred Hutch VPN, we also recommend being sure to click the Off-Campus Login link in the Related Pages section of our homepage (do that before you head to PubMed). The login you'll need is just your HutchNetID & password. For the duration of your browser session, that should guarantee that you are able to access our electronic subscription material from off-campus.
